Uniform must be worn.
No extra clothes should be worn over the uniform. Dance skirts or shorts
should not be worn. No leotards with attached skirts. On occasions
where the studio is cold, only dance warm-ups will be permitted
over the uniform. Warm-ups must be either a pink or black dance sweater
tied securely around the waist. Full length leg warmers, pulled
tightly, may also be worn. Hair must be in a classical ballet bun for
all ballet classes. Jewelry should not be worn. No panties under
tights please. Students who repeatedly come to class out of the proper
uniform will be dismissed from class.
All students should arrive at the
academy 15 minutes before their class is scheduled to start.
Students need time to prepare for class by getting into proper uniform,
straightening their hair, and stretching to loosen their muscles to
prevent injury. Please do not allow your child into the studio until the
teacher calls for them. If a student is late to class, they will not be
permitted to participate in that class. Students are expected to stay
and watch class to prevent being marked absent from that class.
If your child is going to be late, or
absent to a class, the teacher should be notified, by phone, prior to
the class.
Only four absences from class will be
allowed from any child wishing to participate in the end of year school
performance.
No chewing gum in class.
Do not talk in class.
Take corrections willingly. Go through
combinations as they are given.
Do not stand in front of your teacher.
Do not lean on the barre.
