Placement- It is important that students are placed at the correct level to help them learn at their own individual rate. Ages listed on the class schedule are guidelines. Students are placed according to their ability. It is recommended that all students participate in ballet technique. Dancers in Ballet level II/IIA/IIB are required to take at least two ballet technique classes per week. Dancers in Ballet level III/IIIA are required to take a minimum of three ballet technique classes per week.

Promotion- At the beginning of each session students will be evaluated and permitted to stay in that level only by consent of the instructor. Students should remain in that level until a promotion letter is given. Pointe technique is based on age, strength, body placement, and ability. A ballet technique class must precede all Pointe classes. Students must be approved by the Directors to participate in a Pointe class.

Parent/Faculty Conferences- If a student is incorrectly placed, a conference may be requested by the instructor to discuss other class options. A conference may be requested by the parents with the directors as well as the teacher of the class, to discuss a child’s progress or concerns.

Evaluations Written evaluations will be provided by the instructors to keep parents informed of their child’s individual progress.  Evaluations will be distributed at the end of our fall session.
