We want your performance day to be a wonderful event that you will cherish forever with your child. We are committed to parent involvement and communication and find strength in working together as a team. To have the smoothest most enjoyable performance process, we have outlined performance details below.

Location

There are two entrances to Towson high school...Let your friends and family to know to use the Aigburth road directions to get to the auditorium:

 

Aigburth Road Directions for auditorium:

Approach on the Baltimore Beltway, I-695. Take Exit 26A and travel south on York Road (MD-45). After negotiating the traffic circle, continue south on York Road. When you see the Towson University campus, move to the left traffic lane.

Rear Parking Lot (auditorium, gymnasium, athletic fields): Turn left at the Aigburth Avenue traffic light. Continue two blocks; turn right into the school parking lot.

Performance Times

There are three performances; young dancers are performing in our Saturday morning performance. Dancers level II and above will perform both Saturday and Sunday evening:

Dancers in classes below level II

  • Saturday, June 8- Morning Perf 10:00 AM

Dancers in level II and above

  • Saturday, June 8- Evening 5:00 PM

  • Sunday, June 9- Matinee 3:00 PM

Ticket ordering

  • Tickets are available at the door- Cash Only, no checks or Credit Cards can be accepted

  • The seating is first come, first serve and the doors will open to the public ½ hour before the performance is scheduled to begin.

  • Handicapped seating is available- Email the Academy to make arrangements

  • Tickets can not be refunded for any circumstance, but may be exchanged for another show space permitting.

  • To Order prior to May June 1st- Call 931-3844/after June 1st you may email a request to hold tickets at the door or you may purchase them at the door

Parent Helpers For Backstage

  • We appreciate our parents who help us create a safe and happy environment backstage.  It is fun and rewarding to volunteer your time and without your help the show could not go on!

  • You will be backstage during the performance, however when your child performs, you will be able to watch your child perform from inside the theater.

  • A volunteer sign up sheet will be available at the front desk the first week of May.

  • Twinkle Tots, Ballet Basics, and Tappin Tots classes do not need a parent helper, because they stay with parents for the entire show except when dancing on stage.

Photos

CMJ Designs will be taking pictures at the Academy on Friday or Saturday June 5 or 6.

  • Even if you are not interested in purchasing pictures, we would like everyone to be included in the class photo.

  • If you will be unable to attend picture day, please inform the Directors so that we do not delay pictures waiting for your child to arrive.

  • All students will have been given their costumes and are asked to arrive for pictures pre-dressed in their first costume.

Production Video

A professional video will be taken of our June production. 

  • There is no cost for this video. A link to the video will be emailed to all of our students as our gift to you!

  • All choreography is the property of WMBA.

T-Shirts

  • Performance t-shirts are available. Crew neck cost $20 and Fitted Shirts cost $25

  • If you are interested in purchasing a shirt, please fill out name and size for student or adult. 

  • Payment will be due when you turn in your form. 

  • Please do not turn your form in without payment.

  • Order forms are due by May 11th

  • Shirts will be given out Tech week... don't forget to pick yours up at the front of the stage!

Program Ads

Let your dancer feel like a star during their performance by writing them a special message that will display in the program for the show! Maybe choose to write an ad and display their picture as well! This is a great way for friends and family to show their favorite dancer how proud they are.

  • Full Page                     $50

    • You may submit a camera-ready ad, or have our graphic artist design one for you. 

    • If you choose to have us design your ad, please write clearly the information you would like in your ad on the attached form. 

    • All ads and payment must be turned in by May 11.

Performance Flowers

Flowers will be for sale for your performer before the performance and at Intermission. 

$30- Premium bouquets (20 long stem roses in Red, Pink, White, or Yellow)

$20- Half dozen Roses

$25 - Mixed Spring Bouquet (beautiful seasonal spring flowers)

Theatre Arrival

  • On the day of the performance, please be prepared to have your child at the school one hour before the performance begins.

  • All students level II and up should arrive according to the tech schedule for class on stage.

  • Performers should not arrive at the school in their costumes, but they may have their hair and make-up done.
