Caroline Anderson

Caroline Anderson, a Maryland native, began her ballet training at the age of 3 and studied the
Vaganova method under the direction of Anya Ivanova-Bojko, Pasha Kambalov, Kristina
Kambalov, and Joan Beatson. Additionally, Caroline trained for 10 years in Jazz, Lyrical, Tap,
Contemporary, Character and Modern. She graduated from the School of First State Ballet
Theatre in 2018. She also has extensive training in Musical Theatre under the direction of
Richard Mahoney, Chris Rose, and Kathy Cammett. Caroline had the honor of performing in
Viktor Plotnikov’s Hope, which earned 1 st  place at the 2018 World Ballet Competition in
Orlando, Florida and placed in the top 12 at the 2018 Youth America Grand Prix Finals in New
York. She earned many scholarships from the Delaware and Maryland Dance Festivals.
Caroline has been a company member of Ballet Theatre of Maryland since 2018 rising to the
rank of Demi-Soloist. Some of her favorite roles she has performed with the company include
Pas de Six in Napoli, Little Swans and Polish Princess in Swan Lake, Diamond Fairy and Little
Red Riding Hood in Sleeping Beauty, Cupid in Don Quixote, Spanish Soloist, Mirliton Soloist,
and Chinese Soloist in The Nutcracker, and Blue Trio Lead in American Ballads. In 2022 she
had the opportunity to dance at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC for Christmas in
Ukraine with the Ukrainian musical ensemble Gerdan.
Caroline has been teaching and choreographing many styles of dance for 6 years. Caroline has
choreographed for the Tidewater Theatre summer and youth productions of Chicago, The
Addams Family, Be More Chill, Moana Jr. and Descendants. In 2025 Caroline coached three of
her students for the National Ballet Competition in Wilmington, DE. She is looking forward to
sharing her knowledge and passion with the next generation of dancers.
